SWPPP maintenance

Keep the SWPPP compliant between inspections.

Long sites fail on maintenance, not installation. We take the BMP repair, sediment removal and corrective-action work off the superintendent's list and keep the record clean for the inspector.

What it covers

The work the inspection report keeps asking for.

Under the NPDES Construction General Permit and the state programs built on it, every BMP has to be inspected after qualifying rain events and repaired within a fixed window. On a 1,000-acre solar site with a two-year schedule, that is hundreds of corrective actions, and the superintendent's crew has other work.

We run post-storm repairs on silt fence, inlet protection, check dams and entrances; sediment removal before the fence is a third full; replacement of undercut, torn or overtopped sections; re-seeding and re-mulching of washed areas; and the corrective-action log with dated photos that closes each item on the inspection report.

Where the plan needs a change — an added check dam, a redirected swale, a buffer that keeps failing — we flag it with a photo and a fix, not a problem.

ResponseRepairs after every event

Fence, inlets, check dams, entrances, washouts. We work the inspection report line by line.

SedimentRemoval & disposal

Behind the fence, in the inlets, at the entrance. Before it becomes a discharge.

RevegetationRe-seed, re-mulch, re-blanket

Washed slopes and rills fixed with the right product, not just more seed.

RecordDated photos by area

Every corrective action closed with a photo. Clean record for the NOT.

Who it's for

EPCs and GCs with long-duration sites.

Utility-scale solar, large industrial pads, pipelines and roadway jobs that stay open across multiple seasons. If you have a site where the stormwater items on the inspection report are eating your schedule, a standing maintenance scope with us turns that into a weekly line item with a predictable cost.

We can take maintenance on sites we didn't build, and we're comfortable working alongside your inspector of record and your other subs.

FAQ

Straight answers.

What counts as a qualifying rain event?+
Under the CGP, 0.25 inch or more in 24 hours, or as the state permit defines it. Inspections and repairs follow each one.
How fast do you repair after a storm?+
Within 24–72 hours depending on site and travel, and always inside the permit's corrective-action window.
Do you perform the formal SWPPP inspections?+
We perform maintenance and provide the photo record. Formal inspections remain with the permit holder's qualified inspector; we coordinate with them.
Can you take over maintenance on a site you didn't install?+
Yes. We walk it, document the baseline, and start from there.

Got a site that won't stay compliant?

Send the inspection report and the E&SC plan. We'll quote a standing maintenance scope.
