Working in Tennessee

The permit, the dirt, and what we've done there.

Permit. TDEC's Construction General Permit requires a certified Level I inspector on site and follows the Tennessee Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook for BMP details. Seven-day stabilization applies on sites draining to impaired or exceptional waters.

Soils. Cherty silt loams in the Highland Rim and heavy clays in the Nashville Basin. Both move when wet. Temporary seeding between phases matters here because the rain comes in long events.

Work. Temporary and permanent seeding on utility-scale solar in Tennessee in 2026. See recent sites.
