Working in Georgia

The permit, the dirt, and what we've done there.

Permit. Georgia's Erosion and Sedimentation Act and the GSWCC program sit on top of the NPDES permit: certified personnel on site, Type A and Type C silt fence to the Manual detail, and a 14-day stabilization requirement that the EPD takes seriously.

Soils. Piedmont red clay sheds water fast and rills on any slope longer than a few hundred feet; coastal plain sands in the south of the state are the opposite problem, dry and loose. FGM on the clay slopes, hydraulic mulch and quick seed on the sand.

Work. Three utility-scale solar sites in Georgia in 2026, including phased stabilization on a site that released by block through the summer. See recent sites.
