Working in Virginia

The permit, the dirt, and what we've done there.

Permit. Virginia's erosion and stormwater program under DEQ requires a certified Responsible Land Disturber named on the plan, with BMP details from the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook.

Soils. Piedmont clays across the middle of the state, coastal plain sands to the east, and shale and limestone in the Ridge and Valley to the west. Long, exposed slopes get FGM; flats get mulch and seed.

Work. Virginia is part of our service area, a straight run from our crews' base. Utility-scale solar and large sitework. See recent sites.
