Erosion control & hydroseeding in Kentucky.
Utility-scale solar and large sitework across Kentucky: silt fence and perimeter controls to the state detail, hydroseeding with FGM and BFM on the slopes, SWPPP maintenance through the job.

The permit, the dirt, and what we've done there.
Permit. Kentucky runs stormwater through KPDES under the Division of Water, with the state BMP manual setting the silt fence and check dam details. Solar has arrived in the eastern and central counties and the inspectors know what a stabilized slope looks like.
Soils. Silt loams over limestone and shale: fertile, but they erode fast once the sod is stripped, and the slopes are long. Basin side slopes and swales get FGM; the ground between rows establishes well with a straight hydraulic mulch and the right PLS mix.
Work. Three Kentucky solar sites in 2026 — basin slopes and swales, permanent seeding on final grade, and hydroseeding between tracker rows. Our busiest state this year. See recent sites.
